Valentino Dixon (Tino)

For Contempo Art Collections (CAC), Tino is a very special artist because he inspired us to create CAC. He is the essence of the company’s Vision.

To assist:

  • Artists whose work we admire and believe it is extra-ordinary.
  • Artists who create their works under dire circumstances.

Tino produces magnificent work in the most limiting circumstances with the simplest and minimum of resources. His work is unbelievably produced on paper using nothing but coloured wax pencils yet the end product has a magnificent finish.

Most of his work, especially his Golf Art, are creations of his imagination and possibly a reflection of his desire for absolute freedom. His golf art is sensational and a product of his thoughts whist in other work, such as his depictions of Australia’s Uluru (Ayres Rock) and the coastal Twelve Apostles, he utilises photographic imagery. Again these works reflect his desire for freedom.

His abstract musical series is not only stunning but, from the writer’s perspective highly desirable. At this point in time Tino’s work is very affordable and has the potential to be a real investment opportunity.

It is with deep pleasure that CAC offers a collection of Tino’s work to the public and we deem it an honour to do so and be his Australian point of contact. Tino loves painting the outdoors, as he states from within his cell,

“Something about grass and sky is rejuvenating”
